Stainless steel 2b finish is a basics surface for any further cold-rolled processing. Produced in the same manner as the 2D finish, it is a surface state after cold rolling, annealing, pickling, and slight cold rolling flattening. 2B is the most economical and widely used stainless steel finish.

Characteristics

Appearance: Silvery white, smooth and slightly reflective.

Texture: 2B has a slight rolling texture, which can feel a certain fine sense when touched.

Thickness range: Thickness of the 2B finish stainless steel sheet is usually between 0.3mm and 14.0mm.

Standard Sizes
Prime materials. 1000mm*C, 1219mm*C, 1500mm*C, etc.

Vacuum plating refers to the deposition of various metal and non-metal films on the surface of parts by distillation or sputtering under vacuum conditions. The thickness of the coating on the metal surface is only 0.8-1.2uM. Vacuum plating has the outstanding advantages of fast speed and good adhesion. It mainly includes deposition, sputtering and ion plating.

    Differences Between Different Surface Treatment

Surface Treatment Processing Appearance Application Differences
2B Finish Cold rolling, annealing, pickling Smooth, slightly reflective Construction, appliances, food processing Benchmark for practicality and cost-effectiveness.
No.1 Finish Hot rolling, annealing, pickling Rough, dull Decorative applications More reflective and decorative than 2B.
BA Finish Cold rolling, bright annealing Mirror-like, but it is less polished and glossy compared to the 8K finish. Industrial applications Rougher than 2B surface, suitable for occasions with low surface requirements
No.4 Finish Cold rolling, grinding with 150-180 abrasives Matte, brushed texture Appliances, architectural decoration More matte than 2B surface, suitable for occasions requiring low-key decorative effects
HL Finish Cold rolling, polishing with polishing belt Fine continuous parallel lines Elevators, doors, decorative panels More decorative than 2B surface, suitable for occasions requiring brushed effect
No.8 Finish Cold rolling, polishing Fully reflective, mirror-like High-end decorative applications Shinier than 2B surface, highly decorative, but more expensive

    About Topson Group

Why Do People choose 2B finish stainless steel

Good corrosion resistance. After pickling and passivation treatment, the 2B finish has good corrosion resistance and can resist corrosion in most environments.

Easy to clean and maintain. The surface is smooth, not easy to attach dirt, and suitable for food processing, medical equipment, and other fields with high hygiene requirements.

Cost effective. Compared with BA (bright annealed) surfaces, 2B finish has lower processing costs but superior performance and is suitable for large-scale use.

Wide range of application. It can be used in construction, home appliances, food processing, chemical, medical, and other industries.

As a professional stainless steel surface treatment supplier, we offer quality PVD-coated stainless steel sheets from which customers can choose. Topson's PVD coating stainless steel can generally be used for 15 years without color shedding.

Stainless steel sheets are commonly used in an office reception area or architectural decoration design. It's not enough to be simply durable. Therefore, colored stainless steel is gradually being recognized. Do you know how colored stainless steel produced? Deposition, also called PCVD, includes physical vapor deposition(PVD) and chemical vapor deposition(CVD). The production process of colored stainless steel is PVD coating, which uses physical methods to heat or excite a Ti material process and deposit a thin film.
