How to inspect 321 stainless steel plate

The content of stainless steel plate size inspection mainly includes: wall thickness, outer diameter, length, curvature, ellipticity, end groove and obtuse angle of 321 stainless steel plate and the cross-sectional shape of special-shaped steel pipe.

(1) Steel pipe wall thickness inspection The traditional and commonly used steel pipe wall thickness inspection tool is the wall thickness micrometer. During the inspection, the wall thickness of the steel pipe is measured by a qualified micrometer. The end face of the 321 stainless steel plate should be measured at no less than 8 points, and the unqualified pipe wall should be marked. The modern seamless steel pipe production cell uses ultrasonic equipment to comprehensively test and document the wall thickness of the steel pipes.

(2) The outer diameter of the steel pipe and the ovality check the outer diameter of the steel pipe and the tools used to check the ovality are mainly calipers and vernier calipers. When checking, please use a qualified vernier caliper or vernier caliper to measure the outer diameter of the steel pipe. When measuring, the caliper or vernier caliper should be perpendicular to the axis of the steel pipe, and the steel pipe should be slowly rotated to measure the large and small points of the steel pipe section.

If the outer diameter of the steel pipe is found to be too large or too small, it should be marked. For steel pipes that require end ovality inspection, ring gauges are usually used for inspection. At present, automatic caliper devices can also be used to detect the outer diameter of steel pipes.
