The pool in the backyard is a nightmare for garden designers--
A huge turquoise spot that visually overpowered everything around.
But as a landscape designer, Lynn Bravo has taught some tips for over 20 years.
She, along with her husband Warren and their children, built a beautiful garden around their house in the southeast of Burlington.
This is a very practical one.
Used garden for family and friends to eat, relax and play.
There are two different areas in the front garden.
Closest to the street is an irregular woodland.
Style bed in mixed tones-
Plants of love: Blue Bell, Virginia, PlumPrimula, Apple (
Lovely folds includedleaved variety), jack-in-the-
The giant aju of Pulpit, epimedium and Kaitlyn, is an unusual money grass with huge, bronze leaves and dark blue upright flowers.
Woodland beds are under four katsuras, a fallen leaf tree native to China and Japan, and Lyn and Warren like the variation and cascading effects of their leaf colors.
She said, \"this taste is like cooking strawberry jam since September.
\"Close to the front door, the grid fence and small trees around the small patio provide privacy without blocking Street View and morning sun.
The center is a huge limestone of ancient weathered cliffs, which has become a year --round fountain.
A dark red Japanese Emperor maple tree with branches layering branches swept away in the direction of the fountain.
It is paired with a smaller leafy Japanese maple tree, both of which come with Abiqua Gourd hostas, the deepest cup-shaped variety in this plant.
There are plenty of rare and unusual plants throughout the property.
Bravo says she is a plant hunter who keeps looking for new plants, and the garden is where she can try and show plants for her clients.
A stone channel goes along the side of the house through the stunning wrought iron doors of artist David Sindh, passing through the iron thread Lotus and climbing the hydrangea, and one made up of herbs and tomatoes
Strong building elements reduce the impact of the pool.
Where the side garden meets the back, there is a royal star magnolia, which is also trained by a fence.
The other three corners of the garden include an oriental style hot tub

The planting between the corner structures is bold: the tall ornamental grass has a huge banana Lily, and the red Japanese blood grass picks up the chestnut color of marijuana.
