Types of stainless steel sheets

Stainless steel sheets are usually divided into martensitic steel, ferritic steel, austenitic steel, etc. In addition, it can also be divided into chromium stainless steel, chromium nickel stainless steel and chromium manganese nitrogen stainless steel.

1. Ferritic stainless steel: chromium 12%-30%. As the chromium content increases, its corrosion resistance, toughness and weldability improve, and its resistance to chloride stress corrosion is better than other material types: stainless steel. Cri7, cr17mo2ti, Cr25, cr25mo3ti, Cr28 and other ferritic stainless steels have high corrosion resistance due to high chromium content. They have good energy and oxidation resistance, but poor mechanical and process properties. Mainly used for acid-resistant structures and oxidation-resistant steels with less stress. The high temperature resistance of this steel can be used in nitric acid and food factory equipment, and it can also be used at high temperatures to make components that work at low temperatures, such as gas turbine components.

2. Austenitic stainless steel: the chromium content is more than 18%, the nickel content is about 8%, and contains a small amount of molybdenum, titanium, nitrogen and other elements. It has good comprehensive performance and can resist the corrosion of various media. The commonly used stainless steel grades in Osh are 1Cr18Ni9 and 0Cr19Ni9. The WC of 0Cr19Ni9 steel is less than 0.08%, and the steel grade is marked as '0'. This steel contains a lot of iron, nickel and chromium which causes the steel to form austenite at room temperature. This steel has good plasticity, toughness, weldability and corrosion resistance and can be used for the manufacture of acid-resistant equipment, such as corrosion-resistant container and equipment linings, pipelines, nitric acid-resistant equipment parts, etc. Austenitic stainless steel generally adopts solution treatment to heat the steel to 1050-1150 ℃, and then cool to obtain a single-phase austenite structure.

3. Austenitic-ferritic duplex stainless steel: It has the advantages of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steel and has superplasticity. Austenite and ferrite each account for about 1%

Semi stainless steel. In the case of low carbon content, the Cr content is 18% to 28%, and the Ni content is 3% to 10%. Some steels also contain molybdenum, copper, silicon, niobium, titanium and nitrogen as well as other alloying elements. This steel has the properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. Compared with ferrite, it has higher plasticity and toughness, no room temperature brittleness and resistance to intergranular corrosion, and also has 475°C brittleness, high thermal conductivity and superplasticity of ferritic stainless steel. In contrast to austenitic stainless steels, it has higher strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion and chloride stress corrosion. Duplex stainless steel has excellent pitting resistance and is a nickel-saving stainless steel.

4. Martensitic stainless steel: high strength, but poor plasticity and weldability. The commonly used grades of martensitic stainless steel are 1Cr13, 3Cr13, etc. It has high strength, hardness and wear resistance, but poor corrosion resistance. For springs, steam turbines and other parts with high mechanical properties and general corrosion resistance, vanes, hydraulic valves, etc. This steel is used after quenching and tempering.
