Hairline stainless steel is characterized by a fine, consistent linear texture. The term "hairline" comes from the fine, hair-like lines that are visible on the surface. It needs two surface treatments to achieve hairline stainless steel: straight-brushed and satin-brushed.
The cross-brushing technique is achieved by mechanically brushing the stainless steel sheet using abrasive materials at two different angles, typically perpendicular to each other.
